Journeys and Tips
Between Lac du Bourget and the Savoie mountains, Aix-les-Bains is a discreet starting point for the region's airports, the ski resorts and the shores of Lake Annecy. Most of our journeys here combine an arrival by air or TGV with an onward trip to the mountains.
Chambéry-Savoie airport is about ten minutes away, Geneva about an hour and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry 1h15. Aix-les-Bains station has direct TGV services from Paris.
Annecy in 35 minutes, Chambéry in 20 minutes, Courchevel and Méribel in 1h45 to 2h outside winter Saturdays, Megève in about 1h30.
In winter, Saturdays concentrate departures to the Tarentaise: we time the journey to avoid peak hours. Our vehicles are equipped in line with the French Mountain Law from 1 November to 31 March.
