Journeys and Tips
Montreux is an ideal stopover between Geneva, Lausanne and the resorts of the Vaud and Valais Alps. Our chauffeurs handle arrivals from Geneva airport, festival evenings and excursions along the Swiss Riviera.
Geneva airport is about an hour away by the lakeside motorway. Montreux station has direct trains from Geneva and Lausanne, as well as the GoldenPass to Gstaad.
Lausanne in 25 minutes, Villars in 45 minutes, Gstaad in an hour, Verbier in 1h15 and Zermatt in about two hours to Täsch.
During the festival, much of the quayside is pedestrianised and evening traffic is very restricted: we agree drop-off and pick-up points in advance.
The Montreux Jazz Festival in early July and the Christmas market on the quays from late November to late December. Book several weeks ahead for the festival.
