What Really Happens During the Fortnight
The Festival occupies the Palais des Festivals in mid-May, over eleven days. But activity spills over well beyond it: private screenings at Croisette hotels, production dinners in the hinterland, business meetings between screenings. Traffic around the Palais is restricted throughout the period, and the Boulevard de la Croisette becomes partly inaccessible to unaccredited vehicles.
When to Book
This is the point we stress the most. Chauffeur-driven vehicles in Cannes are largely booked from February for the May edition. Convertibles and large saloons go first. A request made in April can still be handled, but with a reduced choice and high-season rates.
The Question of Access
A chauffeur who knows Cannes during the Festival won't drop you off in front of the Palais: he knows the side drop-off points, the times when Rue d'Antibes clears, and the back entrances of hotels. It's a considerable difference when you have three appointments in the same day.
A Different Way to Stay
Croisette hotels sell out and charge several times their usual rates. Many of our clients prefer a villa in the hills of La Californie or in Mougins, fifteen minutes away, with a chauffeur permanently at their disposal. The comfort is incomparable and the overall budget often lower.
Our concierges' advice. Our recommendation: book the vehicle and chauffeur in February, accommodation in January. For a last-minute request, we can still mobilise our network, but plan for flexibility on the model.
Planning your stay
We cover every service around this event: vehicle with or without chauffeur, private jet, villa or chalet, yacht. A single point of contact coordinates it all.
